Professor. Jeffrey D. Sachs, a renowned American economist was in Uganda for a two-day visit to Uganda. Jeffrey Sachs was the keynote Speaker at a High-Level Dialogue on the theme “Accelerating the Sustainable Development Goals through Leveraging Innovative Financing, the Parish Development Model, and Science and Technology" The dialogue was opened by Prime Minister, Robina Nabanja who later hosted him. During the address at Makerere, Prof Jeffrey Sachs urged Ugandans to prioritize their development before the foreign investors do. "No one cares about your development other than you," he said.
