The exercise kicks off this morning in Serere, Soroti, Kalaki, Kaberamaido, Pallisa, Bukwo, Kween and Kapchorwa districts. According to the Ministry of Health, distribution teams have also arrived in Alebtong, Amolatar, Budaka, Bududa, Bugiri, Bulambuli, Butaleja, Butebo, Dokolo, Kibuku, Lira, Mbale, Namisindwa, Namutumba, Otuke and Tororo districts.

Parliament on Thursday convened Inter-denominational prayers marking the beginning of the Fifth and last Session of the Tenth Parliament under the theme “For When I am Weak, then I am Strong” derived from 2 Corinthians 12:10. Three Parliament Chaplains including the Anglican Chaplain Rev. Canon Christine Shimanya, the Catholic Chaplain Rev. Fr. Ponsiano Kawesa and the Imam of Parliament Al-hajj Adbulatif Ssebagala led the prayers in which legislators prayed for peaceful 2021 general election and the end to the Covid-19 pandemic.
