The examination body says in some schools in Bundibugyo district candidates had to part with up to 50,000 Shillings to facilitate the examination malpractice. The affected schools include Bundimulinga Primary School, Bupandi Primary School, Bupomboli Primary School, Kihoko Primary School, Green Cycle Primary School, Bundikahungu Primary School and Clevers Origin, among others.
The results indicate that there was an improvement in scores for the English language examination, Social studies and Science for the second year running. Mathematics remained poorly done with a failure rate of 23 percent, among the candidates.
