On Tuesday, Dr Jane Egau Okou, the Director of Higher, Technical, Vocational Education and Training launched the construction of an additional six lecture rooms worth Shilling 1.3 billion. The construction undertaken by Vambeco Enterprises Limited will be completed in four months.
Michael Oneka, a farmer under Tidi –ma-myero Farmers’ Group in Bungatira Sub –County in Gulu District, says 12 of his group members paid Shillings 148,500 each totalling to Shillings 1,782,000 to Simon Lamex Ocaka, a staff of United Bank of Africa.
The oxen and ox-ploughs worth 10.6 million Shillings were purchased two weeks ago to support vulnerable community members in Omiya Pacwa Sub-county under Tic ber, Abicelo Ox-traction and Rwot Omiyo groups.
The money will go towards the Investing in Forests and Protected Areas for Climate-Smart Development Project under the Ministry of Water and Environment. This focuses on the Albertine Region and the refugee-hosting areas in Northern Uganda.
