Tony Opio, a supplier from Nalubwoyu Sub County delivered the 144 bags of cassava cuttings to the district headquarters. The samples were inspected by the district leaders who confirmed that they could not be received for planting.
The Prime Minister who arrived in the district aboard a chopper was assessing the magnitude of damage as well as following up on the relief food which delivered by the OPM to over 200 persons displaced by floods and currently living in a camp.
Alfred Ebong, a resident of Ocamolum parish says he almost lost his 4-year-old son when he failed to get to the health center due to the floods. Adding that he resorted to treating the child with local herbs for three days before the canoe became operational to cross to the other side.
