Agwata sub-county in Dokolo District has registered the highest number of displaced families with most of them taking refuge at a nearby school while others who can afford are renting at the nearby trading centres which have not been submerged.
According to UBOS, those that cut employees' pay were 51.5 per cent of the businesses surveyed. Only 48.5 per cent didn’t change the size of their payroll in March and April, meaning all their employees stayed receiving their pay.
Caroline Auma, the in- charge of the centre, says that food stocks have run out and the taskforce has resorted to turning to well-wishers for additional food supplies.
