This is part of the newly launched “under the net” campaign, through which government intends to distribute up to 27.5 million mosquito nets across the country.
The Health Center was closed three years ago following a dispute between the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) and residents over ownership of the land hosting the health Centre.
Dr. John Anguzu, the Nakapiripirit District Health Director, says the coronavirus pandemic broke out in the country and President, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni issued directives for hand washing, many community members in the district embraced the practices, which has seen a total reduction of diarrhoea cases.
