Parliament to set up an Electronic Petitioning System 4 2 Top story

Josephine Watera, the Assistant Director Monitoring and Evaluation, says the proposed petitioning system is in line with Parliament’s desire to improve and increase public participation in parliamentary business. Watera says that apart from the electronic petitioning system, the ICT Department is also expected to design an application to allow input of the public into the legislation process and undertake stakeholder mapping during the processing of bills.

Woman Held for Stabbing Husband to Death

According to Samson Kasasira, the Rwizi Region police spokesperson the deceased’s body was found lying in a pool of blood on the bed dressed in a white vest and a pair of shorts. Kasasira says they picked up Nakayuwa as the prime suspect. Grace Faridah Nakayuwa (28) is accused of stabbing her husband to death early today morning. The deceased has been identified as Gava Abel (29) a carpenter residing in Butagatsi cell Kakiika ward-Kakiika division near Kanyankole stage .
