According to Okema, fifteen out of the nineteen explosives found in Nwoya have already been gathered in a safe place in Anaka Town Council by police only waiting to be detonated, while the other four are still in the communities.
On his recovery, Kannankutty Krisnamoham registered the case at the Central Police station-CPS in Kampala, but the case was later handed over to the special investigations Division headquarters in Kireka for further investigations and tracing for the suspects. According to Twine the four were nabbed over the weekend in various areas in Kampala.
Fred Enanga the police spokesperson said that there were circumstances that led to the delay in releasing the list to members of the public but noted that following a directive by the Speaker of Parliament, the Internal Affairs Minister would soon make the list public.
Frank Baine, the Uganda Prison Service-UPS Spokesperson, says they have so far recovered five firearms and re-arrested 60 inmates. He says the army recovered the firearms during clashes with cattle rustlers.
