Muhammad Nsubuga, the Southern Regional Police Spokesperson, has confirmed the arrest saying the suspects are being detained at Masaka Central police station as investigations continue.
The deceased have been identified as Rose Zawedde, 33, and Rogers Ssembuma, 4. Abbey Lwanga, 10, was rushed to Villa Maria hospital where he is admitted.
Police Spokesperson Fred Enanga says that the roads were reopened after they concluded gathering information from the scene but investigations into the bombings are continuing.
Ronald Ssekatawa, the Western Regional Coordinator for Amnesty Commission says that some of the former ADF rebels are part of those arrested for allegedly aiding ADF activities in neighboring DRC.
The leaders say that the area has hundreds of illegal border entry points which are used by the armed cattle rustlers both from Kenya, South Sudan, and within to gain access in and out of the area.
