Zainab was arrested on Thursday evening with scores of NUP supporters in Moroto town as they held a peaceful demonstration demanding the release of NUP presidential candidate, Robert Ssentamu Kyagulanyi.
Speaking to journalists on Thursday afternoon, Dr. Baterana Byarugaba, the Executive Director Mulago National Referral Hospital said they received 77 causalities. He, however, said nine of the causalities died while undergoing surgery.

On Wednesday, the officers were teargassed by dozens of Field Force Police-FFP personnel from Gulu Central Police Station while struggling to quell down rowdy FDC supporters who were holding a procession through Gulu City. Thomas Obol, a resident says the atmosphere is filled with tension, fear and panic amongst the civilian population. He says some have left their homes village and moved to the neighbouring villages of Lweny-Pe, Moroto, Loyo Ayela and Larach Odong for safety.
