Lwanga has always been distinct among his peers who always preferred to stay quiet on critical issues affecting the nation or when they speak, choose to speak vaguely. Be it condemning recent kidnaps, tortures, corruption or responding to his critics, Lwanga never threw away opportunity to speak when leading Eucharistic celebrations.
An official at Gulu Regional Referral Hospital told URN on condition of anonymity that there are often between 3 to 4 unclaimed bodies at the facility each month. Dr. David Tibwamanya, the Principal Administrator Gulu Regional Referral Hospital, says that always hand such bodies to Gulu City Council after waiting for their relatives to claim them in vain.
Moses Moru a resident of Nalem told URN that the warriors were more than 100, armed with both guns and arrows.
“Some of the soldiers deployed to guard the protect Kraal also were running following us the civilians who had no guns and that was terrible,” said Joice Nakiru, another resident.
