The Standard Procedures include maintaining a social distance of at least two metres between persons, using hand sanitizers, washing hands with soap more frequently and wearing of facemasks while in any public space among others.

At some polling station like in Kosovo, Kasubi and Lugala there were hardly 20 people. Others like at Mengo near Bulange building by 11:20am when URN visited not even the polling officials had turned up yet.
In Bundibugyo, a number polling stations visited by URN reporter earlier on Friday had by 11:30am not started work as only polling officials had turned up, with a curious voters looking on from a distance.
By 11 am, most of the polling stations visited by URN such as Luvuuma, St Paul, Katwe two, Katabira zones and others had only the presiding officers and candidates agents, while at other polling stations there were no candidates’ agents.
“People came in early but materials were delayed, but also as people knew that the president allowed everyone to vote, they never wanted to be cross checked but to vote, and this created chaos in some areas” she said.
The District Registrar, Musa Oroma says as the ruling party NRM, is holding its primary elections for contenders vying for the party's ticket for district chairpersons (LC-5) ,City Mayors and councilors across the country, in Soroti City the elections have been called off as results of the delayed demarcations of the city electoral boundaries.
Twinomujuni George, the brother to the deceased said that the NRM party government that failed to deploy proper security during elections is to blame for the death of Muhumuza, who was stoned to death.

The retreat held at Lake Victoria Serena Hotel, Kigo, was organized by the Inspectorate of Government, the Directorate of Ethics and Integrity, GIZ and the Inter-Religious Council (IRC).
