Uganda has rejected the European Parliament resolution taking stock of the human rights violations during and after elections calling it blanket accusations.
The agency cited wanton killings by security forces, arrests and beatings of opposition supporters and journalists, disruption of opposition rallies, and a shutdown of the internet as major setbacks in the pursuit of democracy and the rule of law.
National Resistance Movement deputy spokesperson, Ofwono Opondo says the party agreed to extend voting time from 4 pm to 5 pm, because of delayed delivery of voting materials.
