Two Peace Negotiators Killed by LRA Remembered lra rebels

A memorial mass is underway in Koch village, Koch Goma sub county in Nwoya district for two Uganda government peace negotiators who were killed by rebels of the Lords Resistance Army LRA in June 1996. At the height of LRA insurgency in the North, the government had formed a peace team led by the then Minister for Norther Uganda Pacification, Betty Bigombe. Prince Bernard Richard Olanya Lagony and Okot Ogony were part of this team.
