The Chairperson local council one Saluti B in Kasese Municipality, Janet Mbambu has identified the victims as Catherine Kabugho aged 10-years and Caroline Mbambu aged 8 years.
Carrying placards and wearing t-shirts with protest messages, the students were reportedly marching to Parliament to submit a petition calling for the immediate halt of the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) project's construction.
