Martial Tumusiime, the Bushenyi Greater Police spokesperson says Kansiime has been on the run since last month when Mandela was killed. Tumusiime says that the suspect was arrested on Thursday from his hideout in Omukatafari, Kizinda.
According to Tumusiime, the suspects were picked up from their hideout in Bushenyi in connection to the murder of Murokozi, who was involved in the purchase of fresh tea leaves. Murokozi was strangled to death at beginning of this month shortly after withdrawn Shillings 8million from a Sacco for use in the field.
He says preliminary investigations show that the deceased had withdrawn money to the tune of 8 million shillings for use in the field to buy tealeaves but was hijacked using a yet to be identified car.
John Bakyenga, the Karimunyari LC I Chairperson, says the deceased went together with four others in a gold mine on Saturday morning. He, however, says they heard them shortly after calling for help after the mine caved in and suffocated Gumisiriza to death.
Martial Tumusiime, the Greater Bushenyi Regional Police Spokesperson, says the four were injured in a fight that broke out in Cell C ward 4 in Ishaka division in Bushenyi Ishaka Municipality on Wednesday evening.
The deceased have been identified as Constable Daniel Kule, a driver of the canine unit vehicle registration number UP 7527 and Detective Constable Wilson Mbusa. The two had taken a juvenile offender to Kitumba Remand home in Kabalore district for detention when the tragedy occurred
Martial Tumusiime, the Greater Bushenyi Regional Police Spokesperson, says the soldiers allegedly shot to death Vincent Tumuhirwe, a resident of Kyeigombe village on Friday evening. He however, declined to divulge the identities of the suspect for fear of jeopardising their investigations, saying others are still on the run.
Justus Turyamureeba, who retired in 2014 is accused of submitting forged documents to the office of the Chief Administrative Officer Bushenyi, in an effort to claim for payments from the District Service Commission, as though he was still in active service.
Martial Tumusiime the Greater Bushenyi regional police spokesperson says that the childs mother had gone to the market at the time Mukiiza was kidnapped. Tumusiime says that the police tracked the kidnappers and found them in a rented house in Masaka town where they were arrested from.
