In a letter dated 4th July, Divine Kyogabirwe the Kazo district Chief Administrative officer said that the Taskforce reviewed the foot and mouth disease status in the district and agreed to reopen the markets.
According to Halson Kagure, the Public Relations Officer at Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital, Ahuriire was brought to the hospital as an accident victim through the Accidents and Emergence Unit. After receiving medical attention and being discharged, he remained in the vicinity of the hospital.
