In August 2015, Egypt expanded the size of the Suez Canal, a man-made Canal that links the Mediterranean Sea and the Red Sea following financing from Egyptians who bought investment certificates worth USD 3.6 billion (13 trillion Shillings) with a maturity period of five years and an interest rate of 15.5 per cent.
Magogo was elected to represent the Central East Zone during the CAF Ordinary General Assembly held at the Marriot Hotel in Cairo, Egypt on Thursday. Magogo, the FUFA President collected 33 votes, while the incumbent and former CECAFA President Leodeger Tenga had 19 votes.
The Cranes are the only team from the Council for East and Central African Football Associations (CECAFA) region that have qualified for the last 16 stage in the tournament. The likes of Kenya, Tanzania and Burundi all failed to go past the group stage.
