Alice Apolot, the LC V councilor of Kateta Sub County says it’s immoral to have staff with forged papers working in the district, especially in sensitive sectors like health and education. She wants the affected persons exposed soon to bring sanity to Serere
David Emokol, the Pingire Sub County LC V councilor, says that there seems to be a sinister motive behind the failure to provide the required documents. He says that the absence of supporting documents is frustrating.
Reports from the school indicate that Odongo didn’t teach 70 lessons while Emuron dodged 50 lessons. Robert Ogaram, the Headteacher of the school, says that while some of the teachers claim to have had problems including sickness of their spouses, they were seen engaging in other businesses like teaching in other schools.
According to Alegan, who was the interim board chairperson, the list submitted to the ministry had gaps, especially for the teachers of science subjects. He adds that some of the teachers who were volunteering with the school before recruitment lacked the requisite qualifications.
