It is alleged that on 12th February 2022, the area MP Kwania County Tony Ayo hired a witch doctor identified as Peter Ogwang to perform a ritual at his place in Obolo Cani village following theft of his 8 head of cattle, which ended in three people including the deceased Mike Odure, Innocent Okello and another only identified as Okello being poisoned.
He directed the catechists to get baptism certificates from bereaved families, as letters to prove that the deceased is a committed Christian attached to a particular Anglican church before conducting funerals.
