In the last financial year, Bombo town council allocated 50 million shillings to procure land for dumping garbage. However, up to date, there is no dumping site, putting lives of residents at risk of contracting cholera and other diseases associated with poor disposal of garbage. Heaps of uncollected garbage is a common sight in the town.
Lt Colonel Deo Akiiki, the Deputy Spokesperson of the Uganda Peoples Defense Forces explains that Corporal Bingi escaped last evening and put one Hamza Jaffar, a mobile money agent on gun point before running away with all the money he had in his possession.
