At Mityana General Hospital, the LOP was shocked that for more than five months, the facility did not have supplies of essential drugs, a situation that has risked the lives of patients seeking treatment.
Kawala said that the infant was stolen from her mother Aisha Namutebi. She said that when the CCTV cameras in the hospital were reviewed, a search for Nakalanzi started and she was arrested from a home in Kyengeza village in Malangala Sub County.
The suspects currently detained at Wamala Region Police headquarters in Mityana were arrested in a joint operation involving the Uganda Police Force-UPDF and power distributors, Umeme in Mityana and Gomba Districts.
Racheal Kawala, the Wamala Region Police Spokesperson, says that the operation targeted scrap and electric shop dealers. Kawala explains that security recovered exhibits including cables and earth wires among other items belonging to both UMEME and the Rural Electrification Agency – REA.
Witnesses say that by the time of the incident on Sunday, the deceased children were with their father Michael Katende, and 2 other children who also sustained injuries following the collapse of the house during the heavy downpour.
It is alleged that the leaflets were dropped in different places with in Mityana Municipality in Mityana District which include; Prisons, Mityana Junior School, Mityana Taxi Park and Kiyudaaya Village in Busimbi Division among other residential places.

In Mpigi Town council, Mpigi UMEA Primary School, St. Kizito Primary, St. Michael, Bume, St. Bruno PRImary, Besaniya Primary, Kibuuka Memorial Primary and Bugayi Foundation School among others remained closed.
