Mubende Chief Administrative Officer, Lillian Nakamatte says much of the medicines and veterinary drugs disbursed by the government for Mubende and Kassanda districts have gone to waste because of lack of power to keep them under refrigeration.
Kibuuka was beaten by Muhereza Michael Ntambi who polled 50,140 votes to win the three-man race and Lauben Mutabaazi who got 12,477 votes to become the runners up. Kibuuka trailed in the third position with 10,135 votes, according to results declared by Moses Kiberu, the NRM registrar in the district.
Mbabazi polled 12,129 votes representing 52.58 percent of the total votes cast. Kakooza came second with 7,604 followed by Jackson Ndayiro in the third position with 2493 votes and Musindi with 797 votes.
Lubega polled 10,964 votes to secure the party ticket to contest for the parliamentary seat. The incumbent MP Anthony Semmuli got 2,419 votes followed by Ramadhan Akankwasa with only 432 votes, according to results declared by the district NRM registrar Moses Kiberu.
At the display of the register on Friday, the aspirants expressed concern about some candidates who used their influence to include names of non-party members in the register while genuine members were scrapped.
The suspects include identified Charles Nyanzi who allegedly sacrificed his ten-year-old daughter Sharon Nantume in the pursuit for riches. Nyanzi was arrested alongside his fiancee Diana Tugabiirwe, a traditional herbalist Sserukeera Deo, and his wife Nabukeera Margaret.
A resident identified as Turyagyenda Vincent told the police the Kyomuhendo and her daughter had a misunderstanding over the ownership of the house in which they were residing. At the height of the bickering, Nannyonga reportedly asked her mother to vacate the house which was constructed by her late father.
