The deceased were discovered by neighboring residents who noticed smoke filling the ventilators of their rented room located along Kinabirye Cell in Busowa Town Council, Bugiri District, on Tuesday morning. Concerned neighbors forcefully opened the door, only to find the three lifeless bodies lying on the floor.
Reports indicate that Kabaale, along with a group of individuals, was surveying a portion of land housing the Bugiri district headquarters, with the intent of selling it. The land in question spans approximately three acres, and Kabaale was reportedly attempting to sell it for 45 million Shillings.

A detective, speaking anonymously, revealed that one of the ransom seekers called to inform them that they were no longer interested in the money because Tenywa had already been killed.
