Moses Ssebalamu Kayondo the LC 3 Chairperson of Wobulenzi town was arrested on Monday evening after recording a statement on violence that broke up on Saturday that led to the shooting of two people by Police during enforcement of curfew.
They were shot on Saturday evening at around 8:30 pm at the roadside market at Luwero stage in Wobulenzi town during the operations to enforce the curfew.
The court was attacked on Wednesday evening and set ablaze by the group members, destroying property mainly furniture in the court hall. This, according to a statement signed by Sarah Langa Siu, the Chief Registrar of Judiciary is an act of hooliganism.
Abraham Tukundane, the Luweero District Police Commander, says the five gangsters were arrested from Bombo town council after tip off and were transferred to Wobulenzi Police Station around 7am this morning to answer several criminal charges.
About 500 people had turned up for free health services including sickle cells and cancer screening, Hepatitis B Vaccination, eye care, blood donation, malaria, diarrhea and general treatment.
