Although MPs have not yet been allocated office space, only about of those who were in the 10th Parliament have retained their offices, while over 350 MPs are waiting for parliamentary processes to take shape.
“The number of full cabinet Ministers now stands at 14 out of 31 constituting 45.2 percent and the State Ministers are 24 out of 50 making it 48 percent," said UWOPA Chairperson Kamugo. The passing of the proposal to increase the number of Ministers from 80 to 81 and the approval of Robinah Nabbanja happened without debate in the plenary sessions chaired by Deputy Speaker Annet Anita Among.

Alupo is a retired Major of the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF). She first joined the cabinet as State Minister for Youth in 2009 and later served as Minister of Education and Sports between 2011 and 2015. But she lost her parliamentary seat in 2016 to Violet Akurut Adome and failed to return to the post-election Cabinet.
Speaker of Parliament Jacob Oulanyah said that he had not officially received the list of those appointed asking the President to avail the list to his office so that vetting of the ministers can take place.
