The Danish Embassy is insisting that the pictures of the bodies, if published, will bring more agony to the families of the deceased back in Denmark.

Police in Kisoro has recovered the bodies of two pupils of Gisoro primary school who were on Friday evening killed by landslides as they prepared supper at their home.

On Friday, anti riot police were forced to shoot in the air and fire teargas to disperse a group of traders and opposition politicians who took to the streets to protest what they called worsening power outage.

Residents say the river burst its banks a month ago and the water levels have continued to surge despite the setting in of the dry season.
