Uganda To Host 2000 Israeli Refugees

Uganda is to host over 2000 African immigrants that will be expelled from Israel, an online news agency in the Middle Eastern nation has reported. But the Uganda government denies that such a deal was signed. David Kazungu, the Director for Refugees in the Office of the Prime Minister, says such a deal would be a violation of key international agreements to which the Ugandan government is party.

Butaleja District Council has approved a budget of 17.7 billion shillings for the Financial Year 2013/2014. In the budget, Education took the lion’s share with 8.4 billion shillings allocated to the sector. Kasubi Tombs Yet To Have Permanent Fire Safety Measures burial grounds 2 3

Two water tanks were installed at the Kasubi Tombs after the fire. Water was meant to be harvested from taps and reserved in the two water tanks to be used in case of another fire emergency. However, the tomb\'s caretakers have resorted to using the water reserved in the tanks for domestic use. The tanks have also become a source for safe drinking water for the community around the Kasubi tombs complex.

Rural areas in Kabarole district have not had access to safe and clean water for two years, despite huge sums of money allocated to the water sector. In an audit report released by Kabarole District Public Accounts Committee, more than 1.6 billion shillings allocated to the water sector for the two financial years 2011/2012 and 2012/2013, was diverted to other sectors or mismanaged, depriving communities of clean water.

ULS Suspends Attorney General Nyombi constitution

The petitioners as background of their petition cite the opinion that Nyombi gave to President Museveni over the reappointment of Odoki which contravenes article 144 of the Constitution. They also say that the Attorney General misled Museveni by saying that the recently appointed Minister for Internal Affairs Aronda Nyakairima can serve as minister while still serving in the army.
