Parliament Approves UGX 500 Billion KCCA Loan 1 4

Once accessed, the loan will enable Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) implement the reconstruction of Mambule Road, linking Kalerwe to Bwaise, upgrade Makerere Hill Road, Bakuli-Nakulabye-Kasubi-Northern Bypass Road (from Bakuli to Northern Bypass) and Kira Road (from Kira Road Police to Kabira Junction). Part of it will also be used to implement the signalization of Bwaise and Fairway Junctions.

UNRA fails to Beat December Deadline for Vurra-Arua-Koboko-Oraba Road 1 1

The 92-kilometer road passes through the districts of Arua, Maracha and Koboko to Oraba border between Uganda and South Sudan. President Yoweri Museveni launched the Ugx 132 billion project in 2012 and was expected to be complete within 30 months that ended in July, 2014. UNRA extended the deadline to December after failing to beat the initial target.
