Activists and political leaders welcome the annulment of the August 8 presidential elections in Kenya saying it sets a big precedent for electoral democracy in Africa and the world in general.Kenyas Supreme Court this morning found that the electoral commission failed to conduct the polls according to the Constitution and Elections Act and that President Kenyatta was not validly elected on August 8. The judges ordered that fresh elections be held within 60 days.
