Bahati told congregation during a fundraising ceremony for the construction of structures at Rubanda Technical Institute that Sabiiti was among the 23 who had also apologized for not supporting the amendment. The apology was reportedly issued on the sidelines of the just concluded NRM retreat in Kyankwanzi.
Byamukama was impeached on Saturday afternoon during a special branch delegates conference that was held at Kabale Secondary School Main hall in Kabale Municipality. The meeting was chaired by Francis Ochenga, the UNATU National Chairperson in-charge of discipline Committee and Richard Mwebaze, the UNATU legal officer.
