Jonathan Okello, a resident of Omwa village told URN in an interview that trouble ensued on Tuesday night when the deceased picked a fight with his wife at a local bar where they had been drinking alcohol.
Mary Luwum, who passed on yesterday after a battle with cancer, will be laid to rest in Kitgum district next week, Thursday, August 15. The relatives, together with the government resolved that the deceased will be buried in Wii Gweng village, Mucwini Sub County, Kitgum district, the final resting place of her late husband, Janani Luwum.
According to the Police in Aswa River Region, a total of 2,228 people applied for the police recruitment exercise that started on July 29, from Nwoya District and ended on August 1 in Agago district. However, only 404 applicants were selected to participate in Oral and Medical tests, the last stage in the recruitment exercise.
