Kenneth Mutala, 30, was rescued by the Police Fire and rescue team, working with the Uganda Red Cross Society two days after the collapse of the building. With a bible in one hand, Mutala’s first word was "Thank you Lord" and his ability to walk with minimal support aroused joy among onlookers.
The current name, Nsubuga said, is confusing the public to think NSSF must provide benefits beyond retirement. He said in zoom meeting that fund should be given a name that reflects what it is. This position attracted a nod from NSSF managing director Richard Byarugaba who said the fund “was provident fund and not a social security fund.”
