Declaration of results was further delayed when a candidate Juliet Mugisha protested some results and she and her opponent were asked to bring declaration forms to compare notes. Mugisha who was leading still emerged victoriously.

Today Saturday, King Oyo is marking 25 years since he ascended onto the throne as the King of Tooro. Normally, thousands of people from Tooro and abroad throng the palace to celebrate the coronation anniversary that is locally known as Empaango.
