She made the call during the release of the Uganda Certificate of Education Examination results, this afternoon, where it was indicated that there was a poor performance of learners in science subjects. According to the results released, nearly half of the candidates that sat for the examinations failed sciences despite the government's efforts to boost the field.
UNEB Executive Secretary Dan Odongo, notes that although there is an overall improvement in performance, science subjects remain a challenge for many candidates with chemistry being the worst done subject.
The suspect identified as James Bubumbi, a resident of Kasubi, a Kampala suburb has been arrested from Kyegwegwa District from where he plotted to con several schools under the pretext that UNEB would withhold their results due to their purported involvement in examination malpractice.
