Culipa will test a payment processing and money transfer service that allows individuals and or small businesses to receive mobile money payments with ease by taking advantage of social media platforms.

KCCA Asks Works Ministry to Halt Importation of Motorcycles 3 1

KCCA Roads Supervisor Eng Andrew Serunjogi says that the unregulated importation of motorcycles is a disaster for the country because they are already too many on the roads. It is estimated that there are one million motorcycles on the roads in Uganda, a majority of them, about 750,000 operating in the districts of Kampala, Mukono and Wakiso.

FAO Reports Major Fall in Global Food Prices, but Future Supply Worries Remain food crisis

This is published in the latest edition of Barometer; the Food Price Index that tracks monthly changes in the international prices of five food commodities: cereals, vegetable oils, dairy products, meat, and sugar. The index averaged 140.9 points in July, or 8.6 points down from June.
