The micro-scale irrigation is a government support to smallholder farmers in purchasing the irrigation equipment to enable them transition from subsistence farming to commercial agriculture.
The decision was taken during a meeting of the District Security Committee and the leaders of associations of Coffee Farmers, Dealers, Processors and nursery operators, which was convened at the district headquarters in Mbirizi town council.
