The funding, channelled through the Ministry of Water and Environment is currently in its pilot phase and already is being implemented in 11 other districts across Uganda.
The seven-year project (2021-2027) is being implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry, and Fisheries in collaboration with the Ministry of Local Government. It will provide beneficiary households with training and foundation oil seeds such as simsim, sunflower, groundnuts, and soybeans.
As the Managing Director of Polla Mixed Farm, Grace is passionate about coffee growing, which she has identified as her lead cash crop. She is optimistic that within the next five years, her 150-acre coffee plantation will generate nearly UGX 3 billion in revenue.
