The district has fixed a total road distance of 89 kilometres on nine road sections in three sub-counties creating access to areas that were cut off due to a collapsed road network. Wilson Lopongo, the Amudat Town Council chairperson says a number of activities have been affected by the managers of the projects due to political influence from executive members of council. Citing Kamukon road works and tree project under NUSAF 3, Lopongo revealed that more than UGX 50 Million has not reached the beneficiaries yet it was withdrawn from the account early in January.

Dr Paul Okullo, the director of Nabuin Zonal Agricultural Research Development Institute says that Amudat honey had been confirmed as the best in Uganda. He added that the institute is now collecting and processing other bee products like bee venom which is now in high demand for making antiretroviral drugs and anti-ageing products.

Amudat Rejects OWC Inputs 3

Lt. Michael Loeda is blamed for supplying pigs to the district which are unpopular among the cattle-keeping Pokot community. The 19 pigs, 890 bags of cassava cuttings and 52,631 seedlings of the oranges are at the centre of contention where 1.9 billion shillings is reported to have been spent on inputs for 2015/2016 financial year.
