Gulu Hospital Wants Treatment Centres Decentralized COVID-19 in Gulu 1 2

Last week, it rejected 24 patients from Kitgum over lack of space. Dr Paska Apio, who is in charge of the treatment centre at Gulu Regional Referral Hospital says that they have been forced to borrow beddings from Anaka Hospital in Nwoya and Amuru district to accommodate more people.

Mt. Meru Millers Closed After 11 Staff Test Positive for COVID-19 COVID_ 19 1

The factory which employs close to 10,200 personnel has since been closed awaiting for disinfection as well as conducting tests on all the remaining staff at the factory. A member of staff at the factory says 11 out of the 13 staffs picked at random for testing tested positive and the rest were told to go home.

COVID-19 Patients Aboard Burnt Parliament Bus Admitted in Gulu staff shortage 1

The patients from Kitgum District had been denied admission at the referral treatment unit on Monday due to space limitations. On Thursday, they travelled to Gulu from where the Ministry of Health had sent a bus to transport them to treatment facilities in Kampala.
