Jennifer Lalam, a single mother of two and resident of second Jenge village in Central Division, Kitgum Municipality says she hasn’t been vaccinated because of the anticipated bad side effects of the vaccine that has been widely spoken about. Lalam says there were rumours that the vaccine could make a woman barren while men develop erectile dysfunction.
Dr. Rose Anna Ademun, the Commissioner of Animal Health at the Ministry of Agriculture Animal Industry and Fisheries, says that the government is unable to carry out mass vaccination of livestock in the country due to lack of vaccines.

Jasper Abura, the Principle Education Officer of Lira City explains that the department has met its set target and still hopes to have more teachers vaccinated. He notes that non-vaccinated teachers will not access learning institutions.
