Moses Opio, one of the businessmen dealing in music products says that garbage has affected his sales for more than one month as clients avoid the area because of the garbage. He says that he has been making at least 20,000 shillings every day from the sale of music and other entertainment material but the garbage has frozen the business.
Dr. Charles Oluka, the Medical Superintendent of Atutur Hospital, says that the digital X-ray machine delivered in 2016 broke down after working for a year. He says that since then, the facility has been operating without an X-ray machine noting that the Ministry tried to procure a contractor to repair it in vain.
David Asubu, a resident in Kumi town says it is needless to celebrate Uganda’s Independence when people cannot have access to basic things like water. He challenged the authorities to ensure that water is made available and affordable to communities regardless of their status.
