The Hospital Medical Director, Dr. Robert Ssentongo says the stolen equipment was meant to complete the installation of the facility. The equipment included a biomedical engineering tool kit, sanitary plumbing appliances, brazing touch, map gas, hand drill, charging valve, electric blower and a vacuum pump.
Although the exact cause of his death is still unknown, Kayunga LC V Chairperson, Andrew Muwonge, says that reports coming in attribute his death to hypertension and diabetes.
Kitaka Sserwadda, the Chairperson of Kyedikyo settlement camp, says that pregnant women, children, and the elderly are most affected by hunger. He explains that due to severe hunger, no single child has returned to school as they have decided to stay home to assist their parents to look for food.

Residents were mainly displaced from Ntimba and Kawongo landing sites, as well as villages of Kampatanya and Kyendiko in Galiraya sub county where houses and gardens were submerged. They are currently camping at Bbaale sub county on land belonging to Harriet Namaganda.
“Apprehend any government vehicle attached to the town council moving beyond 7pm with more emphasis on tipper truckers reg; UG2212W, UG2540W, LG0021-49, LG0019-49 and LG0009-49 which in addition should be stopped from moving beyond district boarders without my authorization,” the request letter reads in part.
Dr. Ahmed Matovu, the Kayunga District Health Officer-DHO, says their surveillance health teams are receiving many people who contracted the virus but drug shop and clinic operators assured them of treatment even after presenting with COVID-19 signs and symptoms.
The major entry points to Kayunga district include River Ssezibwa bridge connecting people from Mukono and Kangulumira town council which borders Njeru in Buikwe district. It can also be accessed by water through districts of Kamuli, Apac, Luwero and Nakasongola.
