Nabawanda, who can easily be mistaken for an undergraduate because of her medium size, joyful expression, and free and humble spirit, traces her roots to Kayunga district where she was raised.

The school deputy headteacher, Betty Tumuhamye says that they have closed some of the dilapidated classrooms because they can longer accommodate pupils. She says that the remaining classrooms also need urgent rehabilitation and additional furniture for both the learners and the eight staff members.
Some of the affected businesses included those involved in photography, selling of flowers and tags, drinks and snacks, gifts, and masks among others. While some of the vendors tried reaching out to customers by running around the campus, security personnel drove them away and confiscated their merchandise.
Police spokesperson, Fred Enanga says that preliminary police findings indicate that the fire was deliberately started. "The Investigations indicate that it was arson because the fires erupted from different spots within the dormitory and not from one spot. This means somebody carefully set the fire at different spots," Enanga has said.
