Charles Ondoki Torac, the Head Teacher of Holy Rosary Primary School in Gulu told Uganda Radio Network in an interview that the school is welcoming all learners irrespective of their status. He says that so far the school has registered one Primary seven learner who came back with two children.
Bertha Asekenye, the Head Teacher Jeressar High School, a privately owned academic giant in Teso, says they don’t have sufficient text books for learners. She observes that while they have started teaching the new curriculum, it demands a lot for both teachers and learners.
The PLE results released on Friday show Soroti had 344 candidates in Division one, representing followed by Kumi with 270 candidates. Bukedea district was third with 159 candidates in first grade while Ngora district with 3.2% children in first grade.
