Records before court indicate that Kakooza allegedly assaulted Lad Kamalumba former Kooki ward c Lyantonde town council representative during the 2016 National Resistance Movement (NRM) party primary elections.
The story, published on January 17, indicated that Matojo was involved in the theft of cows from the Late Minister Eriya Kategayas farm in Buyaga village-Mpumudde Sub-county. Over 200 cows had disappeared from the farm since Kategayas death in March 2013. Kategaya was Ugandas First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for East African Community Affairs at the time of his death.
Nanduchi particularly faults Ruth Nansiima, the Lyantonde District Criminal Investigations Officer of failing to forward case files to his office and follow up on cases, which has made his work difficult.
William Mukirane, the officer in charge of Lyantonde Central Police says police has been forced to detain 20 criminal suspects beyond 48hour because of lack of magistrate to hear their bail applications.
