Uganda’s impressive journey at the 2021 Men’s African Nations Volleyball Championship had earlier ended after a loss to Egypt on Saturday. The debuting Volleyball Cranes lost 3-1 to eight-time champions Egypt at the Kigali Arena to bow out of the tournament.
Hudson Ssegamwenge, Vice President in charge of administration at FUBA says that the decision was taken after four clubs failed to confirm their participation. They include City Oilers, KIU Titans, Namuwongo Blazers and JKL.
The first quarter ended with Uganda leading 28-0 before adding 18 goals to end the first half with 46-2. In the third quarter, Uganda added 21 goals to their scoresheet putting 67 -5 ahead of their opponents.
