Ugandas current installed power generation capacity is 851 megawatts, with effective generation capacity at 650MW. With Isimba and Karuma dams, as well as other dams, solar and bagasse plants coming on board, the installed capacity will raise to1, 771 megawatts, or more.
Army spokesperson Brigadier Richard Karemire says that although the groups activities were subdued in the Ugandan territory, it has remained active in Democratic Republic of Congo DRC with an estimated 700- 900 fighters.
