On Friday, John Vianney Lutaaya, the Principal Staff Surveyor in the Lands Ministry who accompanied the minister to the dialogue, said they were planning to travel to Moroto. Without divulging more, the officer said he would explain all the delays on arrival to Moroto.

Arua district received Shillings 11.1 billion as additional funding under USMID. On Thursday, councilors from Madi Okollo demanded that some of the money be allocated to the newly created district that comes into force on July 1, 2019 and is home to over 120,000 refugees especially in Rhino Camp.
The Worker’s representative to council Frank Ssemakula told Uganda Radio Network that each councillor is demanding up to 4.4 million Shillings. The money covers payment for transport, lodging, meals and constituency monitoring earned at each council sitting and paid from Local revenue collections by the district.
